Dual Enrollment Textbooks 

Required dual enrollment textbooks are provided to all dual enrollment students from private schools, home school, and public schools. Any materials that are recommended and not required must be purchased by the student/parent/guardian. 

Pick Up Procedures for Home School and Private School Dual Enrollment Students

Students must visit the College Store location in New Port Richey with photo ID and class schedules to determine which books and access codes are needed. The student can look up their required textbooks ahead of time using the College Store webpage.

  • All dual enrollment students must present a valid PHSC student ID to receive their course materials from the PHSC College Store. Student IDs can be obtained at any PHSC campus library.
  • Only the student may pick up materials. Parents, guardians, or family members are not permitted to do so. The dual enrollment student must be present to sign their materials.

Return Procedures

All previous semester dual enrollment textbooks must be returned before a student can pick up their new semester’s dual enrollment textbooks. 

Home school and private school students must return their textbooks to the College Store location in New Port Richey.

Please note: Dual enrollment students may not receive a rental textbook. If only rentals are available, an access code may be substituted.

Pick Up Procedures for Hernando County Dual Enrollment Students 

If a student is taking a dual enrollment course on their high school campus, their teacher will provide them with their book(s)/access code. If a student is taking a dual enrollment course at PHSC or online, they will get their book(s) and/or access code from the district office. If the high school does not have the textbook, the high school will issue the student a voucher. 

If a dual enrollment student is issued a voucher from the district office, he or she must visit the College Store location in New Port Richey to pick up materials.

Return Procedures

All previous semester dual enrollment textbooks must be returned before a student can pick up their new semester’s dual enrollment textbooks. Hernando County dual enrollment students should return their textbooks to the Hernando County Schools District Office. 

Students must adhere to the following procedures:

  • All dual enrollment students must present a valid PHSC Student ID to receive their course materials from the PHSC College Store. Student IDs can be obtained at any PHSC campus library.
  • Only the student may pick up their materials. Parents, guardians, or family members are not permitted to do so. The dual enrollment student must be present to sign their materials.
  • Only items listed on vouchers may be provided to the student. If items are missing, a new voucher must be issued by the school district.

Please note: Dual enrollment students may not receive a rental textbook. If only rentals are available, an access code may be substituted.

Pick Up Procedures for Pasco County Dual Enrollment Students 

For the most up-to-date information about textbook pickup and return dates, Pasco County Public School students should visit the Pasco County Dual Enrollment webpage.

The following pick-up locations and dates are for students attending a Pasco County public school:

District Office Complex - Central Pasco 

The pick-up location at the District Office Complex is 7205 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Bldg. 3 North, Land O' Lakes, FL 34638. Upon arrival, please park in front of Building 3 North by the ATM. 

Thomas E. Weightman Middle School - East Pasco

The pick-up location at Thomas E. Weightman Middle School is 30649 Wells Road, Wesley Chapel, FL 33545. Upon arrival, please park in the lot between Weightman and Wesley Chapel High School. 

Marchman Technical College - West Pasco

The pick-up location at Marchman Technical College is 7825 Campus Drive, New Port Richey, FL 34653. Upon arrival, please park in front of the administration building. 

Students must adhere to the following procedures:

  • All dual enrollment students must present a valid PHSC Student ID to receive their course materials from the PHSC College Store. Student IDs can be obtained at any PHSC campus library.
  • Only the student may pick up their materials. Parents, guardians, or family members are not permitted to do so. The dual enrollment student must be present to sign their materials.
  • Only items listed on vouchers may be provided to the student. If items are missing, a new voucher must be issued by the school district. 

Return Procedures

Students must return dual enrollment textbooks to one of the pick-up locations.

If a student does not return their previous semester’s dual enrollment textbook(s), they will not be able to pick up new materials for the next semester.

If a student does not return their dual enrollment textbook(s), including books obtained from the College with a voucher, then the student is responsible for replacing the book or the cost of a new book so that it can be replaced.

If a textbook is damaged, has missing pages, or is written/highlighted in, the student is responsible for replacing the textbook.

Students given their dual enrollment textbook(s) by their teacher must return the textbook(s) to that teacher at the end of the semester. 

Please note: Dual enrollment students may not receive a rental textbook. If only rentals are available, an access code may be substituted. 

Access Codes 

Dual enrollment students are only provided with the required textbook(s), lab book/workbook, and access code for each class. If the school district does not have the required access code for any course, the student will be issued a voucher. If the student does not use the access code, it should be returned to the school district at the end of the semester.

Lab Books/Workbooks

If a student has a lab book/workbook for any of their courses and their college professor has them write in the lab book/workbook or has them remove pages, the student may do so.

Lab books/workbooks are the only books a student can write in or remove pages from. That is their intended purpose.

Lab books/workbooks will always be listed on the student's “overdue notice” (mailed home so that the student knows what to return, the return dates and the drop-off locations). 

When the student comes to return their dual enrollment textbooks, the student is to inform the dual enrollment textbook staff member that their professor required them to write in or remove pages from their lab book/workbook, and the school district will remove it from their account. 

If the student did not have to write in or remove pages from their lab book/workbook, then they should return it so that it can be used for another student the following semester.

Do not make copies of textbooks, lab books, or workbook pages. It is illegal and we do not, in any way, encourage this. 

Students are only provided with the required textbook(s), lab book/workbook, and access code for each course. Students are responsible for any other material needed for the class (i.e., paper, writing utensils, scantrons, gloves, study guides, calculators, etc.).
